HerbaTherapy Palmarosa essential oil (Cymbopogon martinii) – 10 ml

An essential oil with anti-wrinkle, cell-regenerating, immune-supporting and refreshing properties. Can be used for ear infections and excessive sebaceous gland activity. The oil of this plant native to India has long been used by the perfume and fragrance industry; in Ayurveda it was used to relieve rheumatic complaints. It has a light, floral-woody scent.

Properties: immune-supporting, promotes concentration and focus, a nerve-toning scent, pain-relieving (e.g. during childbirth), aphrodisiac, excellent air freshener, strengthens the heart.

Therapeutic suggestions: sinusitis, bronchitis; middle ear infection; promoting and supporting childbirth; skin problems (care of oily, sebum-rich skin prone to blackheads); nervous exhaustion; loss of balance; disease prevention, immune support; pain relief and psychological support during childbirth.

HerbaTherapy recipes – Toner for oily skin: 7 drops palmarosa essential oil in 100 ml lemon balm floral water, sprayed on in the morning after shaking well. For sinusitis: lemon eucalyptus 1 ml + tea tree 2 ml + palmarosa 1 ml + Italian helichrysum 0.5 ml + vegetable oil 15 ml; 3 drops on the affected area 3 times a day, for max. 6 days. For weak immunity: palmarosa 2 drops + eucalyptus radiata 2 drops + Scots pine 1 drop + clove 1 drop + Atlas cedar 2 drops, dispersed in 10 ml of vegetable oil.

Professional tip: dilution is necessary when applied to the skin, but it has no photosensitizing effect, so it can be used in summer too. The HerbaTherapy protocol does not recommend its use under 3 months of age.

Safety instructions and contraindications: do NOT use during pregnancy (due to its geraniol content)! Keep out of the reach of children! Store protected from light and heat! Do a skin test before use: apply one drop of the essential oil to the crook of your elbow or the inside of your wrist; if no allergic reaction appears within 24 hours, it can be used safely.
