Spirulina is a freshwater blue-green microalga named after its spiral shape. With a high protein content of up to 60–65%, it is a complete protein source: it contains all eight essential amino acids in an easily digestible form. Due to its high chlorophyll content, it is traditionally associated with supporting digestion and metabolism.

Recommended daily dose: 1–2 teaspoons a day, mixed into a drink or smoothie, with plenty of fluids.
