Redecker wooden Gua Sha massager

Gua Sha is a traditional Asian massage technique in which a tool with a smooth surface is passed over the skin with gentle, smoothing strokes. Redecker's version is made of oiled beech wood: the smooth surface of the wood glides well over oiled skin and is pleasantly warm to the touch, unlike cold stone tools.

Regular, gentle massage can help stimulate blood and lymph circulation, relax the facial muscles and release tension. It can be used not only on the face: it also does a good job on the neck, the shoulders and other areas of the body after a long day.

Usage:

First apply a facial oil or serum to the skin so the tool glides without snagging. Then work over the skin with gentle, smoothing strokes, always from the centre outwards and upwards. A few minutes is enough on the face; on larger areas of the body, work with longer, sweeping strokes.

Cleaning and storage:

After use, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth, then store it dry. Do not soak the wood in water and do not put it in the dishwasher. If it dries out over time, it can be rubbed with a little vegetable oil.
