Its scent is less intense than peppermint and its effect is gentler too – ideal for those who find peppermint's scent too strong. HerbaTherapy recipes – Energizing massage blend: 20 ml vegetable oil + 30 drops bergapten-free bergamot + 5 drops spearmint + 5 drops frankincense. Invigorating diffuser blend: 4 drops spearmint + 8 drops lemon + 2 drops palmarosa. Roll-on for bloating and cramps: 10 ml jojoba oil + 5 drops spearmint + 3 drops mandarin + 3 drops basil + 2 drops ginger.

Professional tip: when applied to the skin, use at a max. concentration of 1.7%, less for children (Essential Oil Safety, Tisserand). Not recommended under 3 months of age.
