Responsible tea drinking

Green tea is a pleasant everyday tea, not a miracle cure. Enjoy it mindfully, in the recommended amount.

Due to its natural caffeine content, it's best consumed in moderation by those sensitive to caffeine, in the evening and during pregnancy.

Suggested use:

Preparing the tea

• Bring water to a boil, then let it cool to 70–80 °C – green tea doesn't like boiling water, which makes it bitter.
• Pour 200–250 ml of water over 1 teaspoon (approx. 2 g) of green tea.
• Steep for 2–3 minutes, then strain. Shorter steeping gives a milder tea; longer steeping a more pronounced, slightly bitter one.

2–3 cups a day, mainly in the first half of the day. The same leaves can be re-steeped 1–2 times.

Important information

A tea with natural caffeine. Worth considering carefully if you're sensitive to caffeine, or in the late afternoon or evening; we do not recommend it for children. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, consume in moderation, keeping an eye on your daily caffeine intake.

The tannins in tea may reduce iron absorption, so it's best consumed between meals. Do not consume if you have a known hypersensitivity. UKKO Green Tea is a food; store in a dry, cool place free from odors.
