UKKO Joint Tea Blend is a carefully composed, 100% natural, rooibos-based herbal blend, primarily for adults. Its devil's claw has traditionally been used for mild joint complaints, while nettle, goldenrod and couch grass have been used to support the flushing of the urinary tract. • Tradition for joint complaints: devil's claw has traditionally been used for mild joint complaints (EMA traditional use)
• Flushing the urinary tract: nettle, goldenrod and couch grass have traditionally been drunk to support the flushing of the urinary tract, with plenty of fluid intake (EMA)
• Antioxidant content and taste: rooibos is a caffeine-free plant containing antioxidant compounds; spearmint and lemongrass add a fresh, pleasant taste

About the ingredients:

• Rooibos: a caffeine-free South African plant containing antioxidant compounds; the mild base of the blend
• Elderflower: pleasant, floral aroma
• Green rooibos: a caffeine-free plant containing antioxidant compounds
• Spearmint: refreshing, minty; traditionally used to accompany digestion
• Goldenrod: traditionally used for flushing the urinary tract (EMA); a member of the daisy family – cross-allergy with ragweed
• Lemongrass: gives the blend a fresh, citrusy aroma
• Couch grass rhizome: traditionally used for flushing the urinary tract (EMA)
• Devil's claw: a South African root; traditionally used for mild joint complaints (EMA)
• Stinging nettle leaf: traditionally used for flushing the urinary tract and for mild joint complaints (EMA)

Directions for use:

Preparing the tea

• Dosage: 1 teaspoon (approx. 2.3 g) of the blend for 0.5 liters of hot water.
• Steep for 15–20 minutes, then strain.
• It tastes pleasant on its own, but can be sweetened to taste.

Recommended: 400–500 ml twice a day (after breakfast and dinner); for more severe complaints, 3 times a day after meals. With plenty of fluid intake. Can also be enjoyed cold.

Important information and contraindications

Recommended primarily for adults (devil's claw is present in a token amount). Best avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. In case of stomach ulcers or gallstones, ask your doctor before use.

If you take medication regularly – especially diuretics – or have edema of cardiac or renal origin, consult your doctor before use (because of the flushing character of goldenrod and couch grass). Drink with plenty of fluid intake.

In case of allergy to the daisy family (ragweed), use with caution or do not consume. Do not consume in case of hypersensitivity to the ingredients.
