The plants in the blend have traditionally been used in the following ways – in the language of tradition, always linked to the individual plant:

• Tradition for excessive sweating: sage has traditionally been used for excessive sweating (EMA traditional use)
• Tradition for calm: lemon balm and linden flower have traditionally been drunk to promote calm and sleep
• Antioxidant content and flavor: rooibos is caffeine-free and contains antioxidant compounds; orange peel and lemongrass add a fresh, citrusy flavor

About the ingredients:

• White dead-nettle: a traditional herb with a mild character; one of the bases of the blend
• Rooibos: a caffeine-free South African plant containing antioxidant compounds
• Hawthorn: a traditional herb; not recommended for those taking heart medication (digoxin) or for pregnant women
• Speedwell: a traditional herb with a mild character
• Yarrow: traditionally used to support digestion (EMA); Asteraceae family – cross-allergy with ragweed. Contains no estrogen
• Linden flower: traditionally used as a calming tea; a pleasant, floral taste
• Lemon balm: traditionally used to promote calm and sleep (EMA)
• Orange peel: adds a fresh, citrusy aroma
• Lemongrass: a refreshing herb with a citrusy aroma
• Sage: traditionally used for excessive sweating (EMA).

Suggested use:

Preparing the tea

• Dosage: 1 heaped teaspoon (approx. 2.3 g) of the blend per 0.5 liters of water at approx. 80 °C.
• Steep for 10–15 minutes, then strain.
• Pleasant on its own, but can be sweetened to taste.

2–3 mugs a day, as a course; take breaks during long-term, continuous use.

Important information and contraindications

Primarily for adults. Do NOT consume during pregnancy or breastfeeding (hawthorn, yarrow, sage). If you take heart medication – especially digoxin – do not consume it, or be sure to ask your doctor first (hawthorn).

Avoid in case of epilepsy (due to the thujone content of sage and yarrow). If you are receiving hormone replacement therapy, have a thyroid problem or take anticoagulants (yarrow), consult your doctor before use. Use with caution in case of Asteraceae (ragweed) allergy.

Must not be used in case of female reproductive cancers!
