Gamma-linolenic acid is found in few foods, so the everyday diet usually provides only small amounts of this unique polyunsaturated fatty acid. The vegetable oil cold-pressed from evening primrose seeds is one of the best-known natural sources of GLA, which as a polyunsaturated fatty acid plays an important role in the body's fatty acid metabolism.
