UKKO Calm tea blend helps you relax and take a breather when the waves crash over your head.
Who do we recommend it for?
- during tense, stressful periods
- when you find it hard to switch off at the end of the day
- if your thoughts won't stop before you fall asleep
- when you feel overwhelmed
- if you'd like an evening routine that closes the day
What's in it?
The base of the blend is caffeine-free rooibos, which makes it mild in taste and suitable for drinking in the evening. It is joined by linden flower, hops and lavender, which tradition associates with winding down in the evening, as well as the blend's signature calming plant, valerian root, which the European herbal tradition has used for centuries to support relief from mild nervous tension and falling asleep.
One box contains 80 g of tea blend, enough to brew approx. 32 servings of tea. 100% natural, without added flavorings or additives.
What you should know about valerian
Its taste and scent are distinctive. Valerian is a plant with a pronounced, earthy, rooty scent that many people find unusual at first. Lavender and rooibos soften it, but it's worth being prepared – this is the natural character of the plant, not a flaw.
Regularity matters more than a single cup here. The effect of valerian is not immediate: according to traditional use, regular consumption over several weeks brings the most benefit. Don't expect a change from the first mug – rather, make it part of your evening routine.
Effects and benefits:
Why do we love Calm Tea?
- Helps you calm down and relax at the end of a hard day
- Traditional evening herbs – European tradition associates valerian, lavender and hops with winding down
- Part of your evening routine – a warm mug and a few minutes of stillness help close the day
- A pleasant-tasting, fragrant tea, without added flavorings
- A completely natural, additive-free herbal blend
- Caffeine-free – thanks to the rooibos base, it can be enjoyed in the evening too
After a hard day, sometimes all you need is a few minutes of 'power outage' – a few quiet minutes, a warm mug, and the day comes to a close.
Tips for calmer evenings
- go to bed and get up at roughly the same time
- put your phone down an hour before bedtime
- keep the bedroom cool, dark and quiet

- Hop flower – traditionally used to relieve restlessness and tension
- Valerian root – a plant traditionally used to relieve mild nervous tension and to aid falling asleep
- Lavender flower – traditionally used to relieve mild symptoms of stress and to aid falling asleep
Directions for use:
How to prepare your Calm Tea!
- Boil water for tea and let it cool a little! The ideal water temperature is 80 °C.
- Use 1 teaspoon of the tea blend for half a liter of water.
- Steep the tea blend for 10–15 minutes, then strain.
- Drink it once, at most twice a day, in the early evening or before bedtime.
The tea prepared this way can be drunk immediately. No sweetener is needed; the tea tastes good without it.
Notes on preparation
A longer steeping time or more tea blend won't give you a better effect, but the tea won't taste right.
Recommended consumption
You can use Calm Tea Blend occasionally or as a course. As a course, drink it for 2–4 weeks, then take a 1-week break – according to traditional use, regularity brings the most benefit. Drink it in the early evening if you want to unwind after a hard day, and 1–1.5 hours before bedtime if you have trouble falling asleep. It can also be enjoyed during the day when tension peaks – then a mug of tea can help smooth ruffled nerves and sort out tangled thoughts.
Calm Tea Blend contains herbs with a calming effect, so depending on individual sensitivity it may cause drowsiness. Observe how it affects you the first few times – use with caution before driving or work requiring increased attention. The tea may enhance the effect of alcohol, sedatives and sleeping pills.
IMPORTANT – who is it not recommended for? We do not recommend it during pregnancy and breastfeeding (there is not enough data on valerian, hops or lavender). Not recommended for those under 18. In case of a hormone-sensitive condition, ask your doctor because of the hops. If you take sedatives, sleeping pills or anti-anxiety medication, the effects may add up – consult your doctor, and never stop taking your prescribed medication without medical guidance.
IMPORTANT – when should you see a professional? If tension or sleep problems last longer than 4 weeks, if you experience persistent sadness, hopelessness or panic-like episodes, or if you feel you are trying to calm down with alcohol or medication – please see a doctor or psychologist. These may be symptoms of more than 'just stress', and there is real, effective help for them.
UKKO Calm Tea Blend is a food product; its use is not a substitute for necessary medical treatment! Not recommended in case of hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the tea blend. Results may vary from person to person. The effects of the tea are based on scientific literature on the herbal ingredients and on folk medicine experience – but it's always important to make the best decision for your health!
