This tea is very delicious and refreshing in any season, and can be enjoyed simply for pleasure, yet it is also a traditional, versatile medicinal herb.

Tradition knows the tea made from linden flowers for catarrhal coughs and colds, thanks to its excellent sweat-inducing (diaphoretic) effect, and it was also consumed to relieve abdominal cramps and bloating, for relaxation and to aid falling asleep. A pleasant tea with a honey-sweet scent that also warms you up on cold days.

100% natural linden blossom tea in a 30-gram pack. Free from additives.

Effects and benefits:

Active compounds

Flavonoids (e.g. quercetin, kaempferol derivatives), essential oils, mucilage, tannins, phenolic carboxylic acids (caffeic acid, chlorogenic acid).

Internal use – traditional

  • Colds, catarrhal cough – traditionally consumed during colds and catarrhal periods thanks to its sweat-inducing (diaphoretic), expectorant and mucus-loosening effects (recognized traditional use)
  • Relaxation, falling asleep – traditionally as a calming tea, to aid falling asleep and ease restlessness
  • Digestion, abdominal cramps – traditionally as a digestion-supporting tea to relieve bloating and abdominal cramps
  • Antioxidant – through its flavonoids (quercetin, kaempferol), it contributes to the protection of cells

Responsible herbal use: we recommend linden blossom tea primarily according to its traditional uses – during colds, for relaxation and digestive support – for prevention and as a supplement, not as a substitute for medicine. In case of persistent, feverish or more severe complaints, see a doctor.

Directions for use:

Preparing the tea

  • Pour 250 ml of boiling water over 1–2 teaspoons (approx. 1.5–3 g) of dried linden flowers.
  • Cover, let it steep for 10–15 minutes, then strain.
  • 2–3 cups a day, primarily for the traditional support of colds, catarrhal cough or falling asleep. When you have a cold, drink enough fluids alongside its sweat-inducing effect.

IMPORTANT – caution and contraindications: Frequent, high-dose or prolonged consumption of linden flower may rarely put a strain on the heart, so it is NOT recommended in case of heart disease, and in general avoid excessive, prolonged consumption (drink it as a course, in moderation). If you take cardiovascular or diuretic medication, consult your doctor before use. The tea may cause drowsiness – use with caution before driving or operating machinery. Together with sedatives it may enhance their effect. Do not consume in case of linden/pollen allergy or hypersensitivity to the flowers. Caution is advised in case of low blood pressure, pregnancy and breastfeeding.

UKKO Linden Tea is a food product; its use is not a substitute for necessary medical treatment! Not recommended in case of hypersensitivity to linden flowers. If you take medication regularly or are undergoing long-term medical treatment, consult your doctor or pharmacist before use.
