UKKO Chamomile Tea is made from 100% chamomile flowers, with no additives, flavorings or sugar. Chamomile is one of the best-known and most versatile herbs: it has traditionally been used to support digestion, as a mouth and throat rinse, for skin care and as a soothing tea. A pleasant, floral tea with a slightly apple-like taste that fits many points of your daily routine.
How to use it – all the ways in one place
- For digestion (internally): traditionally drunk for bloating, a feeling of fullness and mild abdominal cramps
- As a mouth and throat rinse: traditionally used to soothe the mucous membranes of the mouth and throat, gargling with a stronger, cooled infusion
- Externally, as a compress: with a cooled infusion for minor skin irritations
- For steam inhalation during colds: as a steam inhalation for cold symptoms (from age 6)
- As a soothing evening tea: traditionally enjoyed before bed too
Effects and benefits:
Chamomile has been considered one of the most versatile herbs for centuries. Its essential oil (containing chamazulene and α-bisabolol) and flavonoids (e.g. apigenin) have long made it highly valued; these compounds are inherent to the plant and are extracted to varying degrees in the brewed tea.
- Versatility: a single plant with several traditional uses (digestion, rinsing, skin, steam inhalation)
- Most effective: traditionally regarded as most effective for digestive complaints and as a mouth and throat rinse
- Pleasant taste: floral, slightly apple-like – a delicious everyday tea on its own

Responsible herbal use
Herbal tea is part of tradition, not a miracle cure. Chamomile is a gentle, versatile plant; feel free to enjoy it every day.
If you have a known allergy to plants of the daisy family (e.g. ragweed), a persistent complaint, or take medication regularly, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice.
Suggested use:
Preparing the tea (internally)
- Pour 200–250 ml of hot water over 1 teaspoon (approx. 1.5–2 g) of chamomile flowers.
- Cover and let it steep for 5–10 minutes – covering preserves the essential oils.
- Strain; enjoy with a natural sweetener (honey) to taste.
Dosage and other uses
Internally: 2–3 cups a day. | For rinsing: a stronger infusion (2 teaspoons per 200 ml), completely cooled. | Externally: cooled infusion, applied as a compress with a clean cloth. | For steam inhalation: lean over the hot infusion (from age 6).
Important information
Chamomile belongs to the daisy family (Asteraceae): in sensitive individuals, such as those allergic to ragweed, it may trigger an allergic reaction. Do not consume if you have a known sensitivity.
Ask a pediatrician before giving it to infants and young children. If you take medication regularly or have a persistent complaint, consult your doctor first.
During pregnancy and breastfeeding: chamomile tea has traditionally been consumed in moderation during these times too. Consult your doctor before consuming larger amounts or for long periods.
UKKO Chamomile Tea is a food, not a medicine; it does not replace a varied diet or medical treatment. Store in a cool, dry place.
