The pairing of gently smoky mate and fresh, citrusy lemongrass caresses the senses – time and again, a cup of warm, fragrant tea helps you relax after a tiring day. Lemongrass is traditionally consumed as a tea for digestive complaints, nervous tension and cold symptoms.
South American mate tea (Ilex paraguariensis) is a popular alternative that provides lasting, continuous stimulation thanks to the long-lasting effect of its caffeine, theobromine and theophylline content.
The polyphenols and flavonoids in the tea (e.g. chlorogenic acid, rutin) provide antioxidant cell protection, contribute to the body's natural defenses and support mental freshness and concentration.
Mate tea also contains moderate amounts of B vitamins, minerals and triterpene saponins. Regular consumption can promote metabolic processes and may also support digestion.
100% cut mate tea with lemongrass, in a 500-gram pack.
