Yarrow tea is known as the tea for women's troubles. Tradition knows it primarily for crampy, uncomfortable days: it was consumed as a companion for the menstrual period, abdominal tension and more restless nights.
What the literature confirms alongside tradition
The European Medicines Agency (EMA) recognizes the traditional use of yarrow in three areas: temporary loss of appetite, mild crampy digestive complaints such as bloating and a feeling of fullness, and externally for minor superficial wounds. Thanks to its bitter substances and essential oils, it has a place on the shelf not only as a 'women's tea' but also as a herbal tea that accompanies digestion around mealtimes.
Because of its calming character, it was traditionally also consumed in the evening.
100% natural herbal tea in a 50-gram pack. Free from additives.

Responsible herbal use: we recommend yarrow tea based on its traditional use, as a companion and part of everyday life, not as a substitute for medicine. In case of existing complaints, irregular or unusually painful menstruation, or medication, consult your doctor. Gynecological complaints may have a cause that requires examination.
Directions for use:
Preparing the tea
- Pour 250 ml of boiling water over 2–3 g of dried, chopped yarrow herb.
- Cover and let it steep for 10–15 minutes, then strain.
- At most 3 times a day, between meals.
Recommended consumption
As a course: for no more than 1 week, then take a break. Storage: protected from light, tightly closed, in a cool, dry place.
NOT RECOMMENDED: during pregnancy and breastfeeding; in case of cancer of the reproductive organs; in case of epilepsy. We do not recommend it for those under 18. If you take anticoagulants, be sure to consult your doctor because of the coumarin content of yarrow. If you have gallstones or bile duct obstruction, ask your doctor because of the bitter substances. Yarrow belongs to the daisy family (Asteraceae), so cross-allergy is possible in case of allergy to ragweed, chamomile or chrysanthemum.
In larger amounts it can make the skin sensitive and may even cause inflammation. The sesquiterpene lactones of the plant can trigger skin rashes in sensitive people, and due to the coumarin content the skin may become more sensitive to sunlight – if you experience this, stop consuming it.
UKKO Yarrow Tea is a food product; it is not a substitute for medical treatment! Not recommended in case of hypersensitivity to yarrow. If you take medication regularly or are undergoing long-term medical treatment, be sure to consult your doctor or pharmacist before use!
